Both come with Lyonnaise Potatoes and seasonal mixed vegetables.
A vegetarian option is also available on requiest.

Dessert

New committee volunteers invited
The committee has created two new roles to take on and develop communication and coaching efforts for the County, so we are now looking for volunteers to be considered as Communications Officer (to create, encourage and co-ordinate County communication, news and web content) and Coaching Co-ordinator (not necessarily a coach, but someone to encourage and co-ordinate coaching opportunities across all disciplines, such as the LSR training detailed below). If you are interested in either of these roles, please contactl County Secretary Gill Goodfellow via the enquiry form for more details.

News in brief
Since last writing, the prone open and long range championships have come and gone and nothing short of a shooting miracle happened in October when sport and Olympics minister, Jeremy Hunt MP, opened a wonderful new range at Farncombe and Godalming. Surrey shooters have won medals representing England and Wales at the Commonwealth Shooting Federation European finals at Bisley and former Olympic finalist Mike Babb put County shooters through their paces on a coaching weekend at Bookham and Addiscombe. LSR shooters will have a chance to participate in a Club Instructor course in January (see below) and Chobham won the Marsden Trophy at Worplesdon.  Details, news and pictures from all these - scores and more - can be found on the County website through the links below or through the website Notices/News section.

Dinner and Prize-giving
The dinner and prize-giving will be held at the Army Target Rifle Club, Bisley Camp (7.00 for 7.30) and black tie, kilts and/or party frocks are encouraged but are not mandatory. As regulars will know, the catering at the Army is excellent and this year we have managed to reduce the price slightly to £21, which I trust you will agree is  excellent value for a good 3 course meal. A choice of menu is available as above, so please book through the website form or phone thel dinner organiser David Crispin if needs be on 07940 547895 detailing your name and club, how many places you need to be reserved and your menu selections. You will receive a confirmatory email, but please note that no tickets will be issued.

Please feel free to tell anyone you think might be interested in coming to the dinner or put the attached A4 flyer up at your club... and if you've not been before, why not give it a try and book a few places for you and your shooting friends? There are a number of accommodation options on Bisley Camp if you don't want to drive. David can give you some contact ideas if you want to consider this.

LSR Club Instructor Course
We are running the first of hopefully annual coaching courses on January 21/22 2012 at Carshalton Rifle club.  The course is aimed at providing club members the skills to train new and experienced LSR shooters.  The course includes safety, equipment, shooting positions, breathing, targets and areas such as child protection and disabled shooting.  The course focuses mainly on the shooting techniques content and includes a lot of practical sessions.  The cost of the course is just £35 and more information and the booking form can be found on the website
