Thanks to the 15 shooters who took part in the second running of the Queen Elizabeth Trophy and Shield at Bookham Rifle Club on Saturday 8th July 2017. The Individual event was very closely fought, with just one point dividing the top five competitors.

The winner was Nicola Campana (Bookham)  with 400 ex 400, beating the identical score of last year’s winner Fraser Hay (Lingfield and Dormansland) on countback. In joint third place with 399 were Nathan Russell (Caterham), Peter Vigar (Bookham) nand David Sprigg (Bookham).

In his first shoulder to shoulder shoot Nathan Russell won the Junior medal with a very fine shoot of 399, including a possible in his first detail.

The trophies will be awarded at the Surrey Dinner in December.

Many thanks to officials Martin Dessoy and Keith Murray, to Bookham Rifle Club for hosting the event, and to Target Shooting School and Jeanette Leivers for providing targets, cakes and sandwiches.
