A team of five from Bookham Rifle Club won the NSRA home counties short range prone rifle championship for the Browne-Martin London League Trophy at the Malcolm Cooper Range, Bisley on 10 March 2013.

The shoulder to shoulder knockout finals were staged by the Home Counties Coordinating Committee and featured five Surrey teams of the eight finalists; Chobham, Bookham A & B, Lingfield, Ham & Petersham and Surbiton. 20 teams in all entered the postal stages.

The Bookham A team saw off Chobham, last years winners, in the quarter final, squeaking through to the semi-final by just one point, 974 to 973. They then dispatched Lingfield & Dormansland RC A 982 to 958 and won the final against Ashford & District RC by 982 to 963 to win the Browne-Martin for the second time.

The winning team were Paul Duxbury, Tim Hammond, Lina Jones, David Crispin and Peter Jones. Bookham’s Lina Jones, the current Surrey champion, took top individual honours with 595 ex 600 over the three matches.
