It is my sad duty to announce that Gill Goodfellow, long standing Surrey County Small-Bore Rifle Association Secretary and friend and confidant to many in the shooting world, lost her battle with pancreatic cancer on Wednesday 18th February.  Our hearts go out to David and Gill’s family and friends at this difficult time.

The funeral will take place on Monday 9th March, at 2.45pm at Woking Crematorium, Hermitage Road, St John’s, Woking, GU21 8TJ.  This is not a very large chapel so if you want to attend please arrive in good time if you wish to be seated.  It will be family flowers only (at David’s request) so if you wish to make a donation to a charity of Gill’s choice, further information can be found on the undertaker's website here: (Click 'make a donation' then type 'Gill Goodfellow' in the Name box).

If you wish to attend, please let David know by e-mail with reasonable notice at to ensure that he can plan space and catering accordingly. Also, in the celebratory mood that Gill would want, David asks that if you have a county, England or other national team blazer, uniform or tie, or a technical official's uniform, he would be pleased if you would wear it.  Refreshments will be provided from 4pm at the Army Target Rifle Association, Bisley Camp, Brookwood, Woking, Surrey, GU24 0NY. (3.2 miles – 10min drive).

Gail Rees will act as County Secretary until the AGM on 24th March and and has kindly offered to be nominated for the position. Naturally any other proposals for election Committee posts are invited in accordance with the Constitution.

The AGM notice will be sent out shortly.
