Ken Pullman, President of Worplesdon & District TSC sadly passed away on the 20th March 2013 at the age of 91.

Ken had been a member for 67 years and shooting was his life. Until relatively recently he spent many hours maintaining the range. In 1996 when the holding company went into liquidation he purchased the land from the administrator to save the club from eviction. Two years ago he gave the club the freehold of the 7 acre site. In recognition of the gift the membership wished the range to be designated as 'The Pullman Range' but typical of Ken's modesty he would not allow this to happen. I think that will now change.

He was an accomplished shot having represented England and Great Britain and was a club team member in the 1950's and 60's when the club was at its peak winning virtually every national trophy going. Although age had caught up with him he was still to be seen down the range most week-ends popping off a few rounds bench rest at 50 yards and incidentally scoring a 99 just before Christmas.

He has been a great asset to the club. If it had not been for his efforts I am sure we would have folded many years ago. He will be sorely missed.

The funeral is to be at Guildford Crematorium on Tuesday 9th April at 12 noon.
