Carshalton Rifle Club hosted the annual Lightweight Sport Rifle Open competition on Saturday 20th October 2012.  Every detail available was booked in advance making it a very busy day.

After losing by just one point last year, Colin Campbell-Salmon (Caterham and District RC) was triumphant with a score of 562x11 out of 600.  Second place was taken by Philip Creese (Caterham and District RC) with 560x12 and third was Adam King (Surbiton Postal RPC) scoring 555x8.  

The B Class winner was Simon Scott (Carshalton RC) with 528x6 and the Junior competition was won by Jonathan Barnes (Caterham and District RC) with 492x2.

Special thanks are due to the Range Officers Gail Rees, Braff Knight-Simpson, Chris Groom and Paul Crofts, plus the Scorer Nigel Milner for giving up their Saturday to make the day run smoothly.
