It is with sadness that we announce the death of Bill Hull aged 84 after a prolonged battle with cancer.

Following his National Service in the RAF, Bill worked in the Print and then moved to Lloyds Bank where his final posting was at the branch in Covent Garden Market.

He joined The Borough of Wandsworth Rifle Club in the early 1960s and soon became an accomplished rifle and pistol shot. He served as Club Captain and remained on the committee for many years. Bill, a Life Member of the NSRA, was also a member of Lloyds Bank Rifle Club and Mitcham & District Rifle Clubs.

He was a familiar face at both the Scottish and Bisley National meetings where he won many competitions, his first being the Bell in 1967, he also reached the Robert’s final in 1978, 1991 and 1992 (in both 1991 & 1992 he was 2nd by 1 point). He shot several times in the Dewar team, the England team, the Wakefield team and was in the National squad in 1972, 1975 and 1975.  


The funeral is at 12.40 on 10th May
at Merton and Sutton Joint Cemetery
Garth Road, Morden SM4 4NW .
